Yeah, I never understood this particular Libertarian stance. “Abolish the FDA!” Exactly how many people have to die from allergic reactions or drugs that don’t work before the “free market” can decide not to buy them? Do they really not care about the human capital involved with “letting the markets decide” when it comes to things like doctors and prescription drugs??? Like, yeah, if we didn’t have an FDA, and I heard that a bunch of people died from taking a drug, I wouldn’t buy it. But those people had to die first. What kind of freedom is that?
